PROFILE

Abdur Razzaq was the founding CEO of NZ Education International (NZ government-owned). In the 1990s, he was a pioneer in the field of technology transfer in emerging countries.

He is the Chairperson of the NZ’s oldest private sector, export award winning, developmental firm. His global business covers 22 countries and ranks in the top 2 firms from NZ in the Asian Development Bank development projects. Abdur Razzaq, was a founding member of the Federation of Islamic Associations of NZ, the umbrella national Muslim organisation.

Currently he is also the Chair of the NZ Government and Private Sector Halal Industry Forum. After the terror attack in Christchurch on 15 March, 2019, he has been appointed as the Chairperson of the FIANZ Royal Commission. He is also member of a number NZ government’s Ministerial Advisory Groups.
