The Hon. Datuk Dr. Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Haji Ismail

The Honorable Datuk Dr. Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ismail is currently the Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development of Sarawak (M-FICORD) holds a Bechelor of Medicine and Bachelor or Surgery from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

He has served as a Member of State Legislative Assembly N.79 Bukit Kota since 2006 until now. He was appointed as a Deputy Minister of Welfare and Comodity Welfare in May 2016 and as a Deputy Minister of Modernization of Agriculture and Regional Development Sarawak in 2017. In 2021, he was reappointed as a Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development of Sarawak (Food Industry).

His involvement in various committees and board includes being a member in Board of Director of National Farmers’ Association (NAFAS), Chairman of Sarawak State Farmers’ Association, Member in Board of Directors, Land Custody and Development Authority Agri-Business Sdn. Bhd., Trustee Member of Sarawak Malay Cultural Foundation Charitable, Patron of Sarawak Former Football Coaches and Players Association and holds various other positions in Limbang.
