Natavan Mammadova

PROFILE

Natavan Mammadova is a seasoned development professional with over 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, international financial institutions (IFIs), and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). She is widely recognized for her leadership in stakeholder management, public–private dialogue, and community-building.

She currently serves as the ICCD Women’s Economic Empowerment Lead, Secretary General of the Maida Nazir Organization for Women’s Economic Empowerment, and a member of the COP29 Organizing Committee, where she contributes to shaping inclusive and climate-resilient development initiatives.

Beyond her professional roles, Natavan is deeply committed to social impact. As Chairlady of Birge ve Saglam Public Union, she leads programs supporting children with autism and their families. She is also the ideologist and producer of Kashalata, Azerbaijan’s first inclusive café—a pioneering social enterprise employing differently-abled individuals and promoting meaningful social inclusion.

Her career includes leadership positions such as Advisor and Head of Client Coordination at McKinsey & Company, Research Analyst at the World Bank, and Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Natavan holds degrees from George Washington University and the State Economic University of the Azerbaijan Republic, and continues to drive impactful change in economic development, gender equality, and social inclusion.
