Acting Director-General, Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC)
PROFILE
Nur Alyssa Coraline Yussin is the Director of the Research and Training Division at the Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) and is currently assuming the duties of Acting Director General from the beginning of 2025. She joined ITC as an Executive Officer in 2009 and was promoted to a management position in 2011 in the same division. Prior to joining ITC, she worked in several organisations and held various roles from managing and coordinating events, membership, and sales and marketing within the event management and IT industries.
In ITC, she has led and coordinated a wide range of key initiatives, particularly in the areas of Islamic Tourism and Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH), focusing on research, training, industry development, and capacity-building. She played an instrumental role in developing and enhancing several signature programmes, including the S.E.E.D (Share, Enrich, Enhance and Develop) Seminars, CSR and youth engagement programmes, and corporate forums addressing current issues related to Islamic tourism.
Her extensive involvement in collaborative projects with international bodies such as the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), ASEAN, and APEC has strengthened ITC’s global partnerships and elevated Malaysia’s position as a leader in the MFTH ecosystem. She has also contributed to the development of training modules, recognition standards, and capacity-building frameworks that support the growth of Islamic Tourism in Malaysia and abroad. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Alyssa has developed strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, programme development, and strategic planning. Her leadership continues to drive ITC’s mission to advance Malaysia’s role in the global Islamic Tourism landscape. She graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA with a BBA (Hons.) in International Business. She loves reading and exploring new places and cultures.
